Artists & Activists for Animal Rights Announces the Addition of "Contradiction of the Innocent"

Austin, Texas - Artists & Activists for Animal Rights (AAAR) is pleased to announce the inclusion of "Contradiction of the Innocent" by Jo Frederiks in their online Animal Rights Gallery. Jo Frederiks, a dedicated full-time artist from Australia, employs graphite as her medium of choice to convey thought-provoking messages that shed light on the contradictions surrounding our treatment of animals.

"Contradiction of the Innocent" depicts a young child enjoying a McDonald's hamburger while affectionately petting a cow at a petting zoo. Through this artwork, Frederiks captures the inherent hypocrisy in our actions, juxtaposing the innocence of the child with the reality of the animal's exploitation, suffering, and death. The word "hypocrisy" prominently features within the piece, serving as a powerful reminder of the contradictions that exist in our relationship with animals.

Jo Frederiks is an accomplished artist who has exhibited her exceptional work in numerous solo, joint, and group exhibitions. With a deep-rooted connection to nonhuman animals fostered by her upbringing on a million-acre cattle station in central Queensland, Australia, Frederiks uses her art to expose the hidden plight of animals subjected to enslavement, exploitation, and needless use for food, clothing, entertainment, and research.

Artists & Activists for Animal Rights (AAAR), founded by Sylvie Abate, is a collective of creative individuals dedicated to advocating for the ethical treatment of all sentient beings. Through various artistic expressions such as art, photography, music, poetry, and film, AAAR strives to raise awareness about the inhumane treatment of animals in factory farms while promoting alternatives to meat and dairy consumption.

AAAR aims to challenge societal perceptions and values surrounding farm animals, cultivating a more compassionate world for all living beings. Their mission involves fostering empathy, encouraging conscious food choices, and exposing the concealed inhumane practices prevalent in the agriculture industry. Through their work, AAAR advocates for complete animal liberation, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more sustainable world for both humans and the planet.

Artists & Activists for Animal Rights invites everyone to celebrate the impactful addition of "Contradiction of the Innocent" by Jo Frederiks to the Animal Rights Gallery. By showcasing this thought-provoking artwork, we strive to ignite critical conversations, foster empathy, and inspire action towards a more compassionate and ethically responsible treatment of animals.
