Austin, TX – Singer-songwriter and longtime activist Daniel Redwood has been selected to appear on The Compassion Project: Songs for Animal, Human, and Earth Justice, a thought-provoking compilation album set for release on September 5 by Artists & Activists Records. Redwood contributes two powerful tracks to the album: “Vegan Heart” and “Sanctuary Song.”

“Vegan Heart,” featuring lyrics by Beth Lily Redwood and music by Daniel, is a poignant call to reconnect with the Earth and all its beings through compassion and reverence. It challenges listeners to awaken their awareness and act as stewards of the natural world. “Sanctuary Song” is a powerful tribute to the vital role animal sanctuaries play in providing safe refuge and healing for farmed animals. The song honors each animal’s inherent dignity and right to live freely, joyfully, and authentically. Daniel Redwood has dedicated much of his life and music to activism. From his early years performing for the peace and farm worker movements to more recent efforts in animal rights, his songs have always served as a vehicle for truth and transformation. His work with the United Farmworkers Union, including a coast-to-coast singing tour organized by César Chávez, solidified his commitment to social justice through song. Today, Redwood continues to write and perform music that uplifts, educates, and inspires change.
