Austin, TX — The 15th Annual National Animal Rights Day (NARD) event will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Lakeline Park (1510 Alexis Drive, Cedar Park, TX) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This peaceful gathering commemorates the billions of animals who lose their lives each year due to human actions and celebrates the growing global movement for their freedom.
This year’s ceremony will feature special guests and speakers:
Sharon Nunez – Animal Equality
Dan Illescas – Central Texas Pig Rescue
Chris Fuller-Wigg – Austin Farm Sanctuary
Lauren Pacek – Texas 89 Legislative Update
Renee King-Sonnen – Rowdy Girl Sanctuary

The event is free and open to the public. Participants who wish to take part in the memorial ceremony are asked to fill out a short form here: Registration Form. A special T-shirt, required for ceremony participation, can also be ordered through the form. T-shirts can also be purchased in-person at 10am prior to the event.

National Animal Rights Day is an annual worldwide day of remembrance, education, and celebration for animals, held in over 50 countries on the first Sunday in June. Created by the non-profit Our Planet. Theirs Too., NARD is both a “Memorial Day” and an “Independence Day” for animals — a day to mourn those lost and celebrate the progress being made toward a more compassionate world.
Austin’s event will offer a time to come together, reflect, empower one another, and renew our collective commitment to ending animal suffering.
