Austin, TX – London-based independent artist William Robertson has been selected to appear on The Compassion Project: Songs for Animal, Human, and Earth Justice, a bold and emotionally charged compilation album set for release on September 5 by Artists & Activists Records. His featured track, “One Day Chicks,” is an unflinching exposé of one of the egg industry’s darkest secrets — the mass killing of male chicks.

Told from the perspective of a newborn chick, the song confronts the listener with the brutality behind routine agricultural practices that are often hidden from public view. With haunting delivery and stark, poetic language, “One Day Chicks” demands a moral reckoning — not only from those complicit in the system, but from a society that continues to normalize such suffering. The track was spotlighted by BBC’s Tom Robinson, who described it as “a howl of anguished outrage… a song and a video none of us can afford to ignore.”
